Paragraph Structure:
A paragraph should have a topic sentence and connected sentences that explain it.
Three Parts:
Introduction: Introduce the main idea.
Middle: Explain with examples and details.
Conclusion: Sum up the main points.
Key Elements:
- Understand the idea (literal and deeper meaning).
- Give examples and explain different perspectives.
- Connect your thoughts using discourse markers.
- Stay focused and organized.
Discourse Markers: These are words that connect and organize your writing (e.g., “therefore,” “furthermore”).
Do’s and Don’ts:
- Do: Begin well, explain clearly, give examples, conclude strongly.
- Don’t: Go off-topic.
