🔹 Thiruvalluvar’s Patience

 - A rich young man, who liked making fun of people, wanted to test Thiruvalluvar’s patience.
 
🔹 The Fabric Test
- The young man asked for the price of the fabric.
 - Thiruvalluvar said “Eight coins.”
 - The young man tore the fabric into half and asked for the price again.
 - Thiruvalluvar calmly said, “Four coins.”
 - The young man kept tearing the fabric into smaller pieces, but Thiruvalluvar never got angry and kept reducing the price.
 - When the fabric became useless rags, Thiruvalluvar said, “Now it has no price.”
 
🔹 Lesson on Hard Work
- The young man felt ashamed and offered eight coins for the ruined fabric.
 - Thiruvalluvar refused the money and explained that:
✔ The fabric was made with love and hard work.
✔ Farmers, spinners, and dyers worked hard to make it beautiful.
✔ Money cannot bring back destroyed work.
