- बदक कांगारूला म्हणते, “वा! तू किती छान उड्या मारतोस! तू शेतांवर आणि पाण्यावर सहज उड्या मारतोस, जणू काही थांबणारच नाहीस!”
“My life is a bore in this nasty pond,
And I long to go out in the world beyond!
I wish I could hop like you!”
- बदक म्हणते, “या कुरूप तळ्यात राहणे खूप कंटाळवाणे आहे. मला बाहेरच्या जगात जायचे आहे. मला तुझ्यासारखे उड्या मारता आले असते!”
“Said the Kangaroo to the Duck,
‘This requires some little reflection:
Perhaps on the whole it might bring me luck.
And there seems but one objection.’
