The moral of the story is that true friendship is tested in difficult times. - The Town Mouse and the Country Mouse
In this story, a Town Mouse visits his Country Mouse cousin. The Country Mouse offers simple food like bread and beans, but the Town Mouse mocks it and invites him to the town to experience luxurious food. In the town, they enjoy cakes and jellies but are constantly interrupted by barking dogs. Scared for their lives, the Country Mouse decides to return home, saying it’s better to live a simple life in peace than to enjoy luxuries in fear. The moral is that a peaceful life is more valuable than a luxurious but dangerous one.
