Answers :

The drawing should include:

  • A bright full moon in the night sky.
  • Silver trees with silver fruits shining under the moonlight.
  • A dog sleeping in its kennel, with silver paws.
  • Doves resting in their cote (small shelter).
  • A mouse running with silver claws and eyes.
  • Fish staying still in a silver-colored stream.

2. Write the rhyming words and the rhyme scheme of the poem.

✅ Rhyming Words:

  • Moon – shoon
  • Sees – trees
  • Catch – thatch
  • Log – dog
  • Peep – sleep
  • By – eye
  • Gleam – stream

✅ Rhyme Scheme:

  • The poem follows the AABB rhyme scheme (each pair of lines rhyme).

3. Underline the word silver/silvery in the poem. In which lines does it occur? What pattern does it show?

✅ The word “silver/silvery” appears in the following lines:

  1. “Walks the night in her silver shoon;”
  2. “Silver fruit upon silver trees;”
  3. “Her beams beneath the silvery thatch;”
  4. “With paws of silver sleeps the dog;”
  5. “Of doves in silver feathered sleep;”
  6. “With silver claws, and silver eye;”
  7. “By silver reeds in a silver stream.”

✅ Pattern it shows:

  • The word “silver” is repeated in almost every line.
  • It creates a dreamlike and magical feeling.
  • It emphasizes the moonlight’s effect on everything.

4. Can you think of a parallel scene of dawn/evening when everything is steeped in golden light?

✅ A similar scene can be:

At sunrise (dawn):

  • The sky turns golden-orange.
  • The sunlight shines on trees and fields, making them glow in golden light.
  • The birds wake up and start chirping.
  • The dew on grass sparkles like gold.

At sunset (evening):

  • The setting sun colors the sky in golden-red hues.
  • The rivers and lakes reflect golden light.
  • The clouds appear orange and golden.
  • The houses and trees look warm under the golden glow.

✅ Message:

  • Just like the moon turns everything silver, the sunlight turns everything golden.
  • It shows how nature changes beautifully at different times of the day.

5. The same landscape appears different at different times. What message can we draw from this?

✅ Message:

  • Nature changes its appearance depending on the time of day.
  • Morning brings brightness and energy, while night brings peace and calmness.
  • Everything in life has different perspectives – just like the same place looks different under the sun and the moon.
  • It teaches us to appreciate nature in all its forms.
