Summary in Marathi

हा चौथा एकक “Have” या इंग्रजी क्रियापदाचा वापर समजावून सांगतो. “Have” हे सहाय्यक क्रियापद म्हणून परफेक्ट टेन्स बनवण्यासाठी (उदा. “They have come”) किंवा नकारात्मक वाक्यांसाठी (उदा. “They haven’t come”) वापरलं जातं. पण मुख्य क्रियापद म्हणूनही त्याचे अनेक अर्थ आहेत. ते मालकी दाखवण्यासाठी (उदा. “I have a pen”), नाती सांगण्यासाठी (उदा. “I have two sisters”), खाणं-पिणं दर्शवण्यासाठी (उदा. “Have a glass of water”), घटना किंवा अनुभव सांगण्यासाठी (उदा. “I have a party”), आणि शारीरिक स्थिती दाखवण्यासाठी (उदा. “I have a headache”) वापरलं जातं. हे क्रियापद साध्या भूतकाळात किंवा वर्तमानकाळात वापरलं जातं, पण सतत चालू असलेल्या काळात (प्रेझेंट कंटिन्युअस) वापरलं जात नाही (उदा. “I am having a bicycle” हे चुकीचं). नकारात्मक वाक्यासाठी “do” ची मदत घेतली जाते (उदा. “I don’t have a cold”). विद्यार्थ्यांना या वेगवेगळ्या वापरांचे स्वतःचे उदाहरणं बनवायला आणि इतर क्रियापदांचे अर्थ शोधायला सांगितलं आहे.

Summary in English

This fourth unit explains the different uses of the English verb “have.” As a helping verb, “have” is used to form perfect tenses (e.g., “They have come”) or to make negative sentences (e.g., “They haven’t come”). However, as a main verb, it has many meanings. It shows possession (e.g., “I have a pen”), relationships (e.g., “I have two sisters”), eating or drinking (e.g., “Have a glass of water”), events or experiences (e.g., “I have a party”), and physical conditions (e.g., “I have a headache”). When used as a main verb, “have” is always in the simple present or past tense, not in the present continuous (e.g., saying “I am having a bicycle” is wrong). For negatives, it uses the helper “do” (e.g., “I don’t have a cold” instead of “I haven’t a cold”). Students are asked to create their own examples for these uses and explore the meanings of other verbs in a dictionary.

Summary in Hindi

यह चौथा अध्याय अंग्रेज़ी के क्रिया “Have” के अलग-अलग इस्तेमाल को समझाता है। सहायक क्रिया के रूप में “Have” परफेक्ट टेन्स बनाने के लिए (जैसे “They have come”) या नकारात्मक वाक्य बनाने के लिए (जैसे “They haven’t come”) प्रयोग होता है। लेकिन मुख्य क्रिया के रूप में इसके कई अर्थ हैं। यह मालिकाना हक दिखाने (जैसे “I have a pen”), रिश्ते बताने (जैसे “I have two sisters”), खाने-पीने की बात करने (जैसे “Have a glass of water”), घटनाओं या अनुभवों के लिए (जैसे “I have a party”), और शारीरिक हालत दिखाने (जैसे “I have a headache”) के लिए इस्तेमाल होता है। मुख्य क्रिया के रूप में यह हमेशा साधारण वर्तमान या भूतकाल में होता है, न कि चालू काल में (जैसे “I am having a bicycle” गलत है)। नकारात्मक वाक्य के लिए “do” की मदद ली जाती है (जैसे “I don’t have a cold”)। छात्रों से इन इस्तेमालों के अपने उदाहरण बनाने और दूसरे क्रियाओं के अर्थ डिक्शनरी में ढूंढने को कहा गया है।
