SSC CGL Eligibility

Number Of Attempts

There is no set number of attempts. It is determined by the candidate’s age and position. For example, if starting at 21 and ending at 30, an inspector in central excise has 9 attempts.

Nationality

1. Indian Citizenship: You must be an Indian citizen. You must have a valid Indian passport or another kind of proof of Indian citizenship.

2. Subjects of Nepal/Bhutan: If you are a subject of Nepal or Bhutan, you may apply for the SSC CGL exam. To work in India, you must present the necessary documentation and legal authorization.

3. Tibetan Refugees: Tibetan refugees who arrived in India before January 1, 1962, to live permanently in India, are allowed to apply for the exam. They must have the requisite certificates issued by the Government of India to confirm their refugee status.

4. Individuals of Indian origins: Candidates of Indian descent who have moved from specific countries to permanently stay in India may also apply for the SSC CGL exam. They must have the appropriate documentation, such as a certificate of eligibility from the Government of India.

Statistical Investigator Grade-IIA bachelor’s degree from an approved institution or institute in any field, including statistics. Statistics must have been a subject for the candidates during the three years of their graduate course.
Assistant in National Company Law Appellate Tribunal 

a bachelor’s degree from a reputed university or institute is required.

Law degree from an accredited university is desired.

 

Research Assistant in National Human Rights CommissionEssential qualification: Bachelor’s degree from authorized universities or institutes

Desirable qualifications: At least one year of research experience at a reputable university or research institution.

A legal or human rights degree from an approved university.

 

Other PostBachelor’s degree in any field from an accredited university, or an equivalent qualification

Age Limit

1. Many applicants apply for the role without understanding the SSC CGL age limit, and their applications are rejected.

2. For positions with an age range of 18-27 years, the candidate must have been born between the dates of 02-08-1997 and 01-08-2006.

3. Candidates must be born between 02-08-1994 and 01-08-2004 to be eligible for posts with an age limit of 20-30 years.

4. To apply for positions with an age limit of 18-30 years, candidates must be born between 02-08-1994 and 01-08-2006.

5. For the role with an age limit of 18-32 years, the candidate must have been born between 02-08-1992 and 01-08-2006.

SSC CGL Age Relaxation

For certain categories or classes of people the exam conducting authority has given the age relaxation keeping in mind certain requirements. People belonging to these categories must go through the age relaxations mentioned in the table below.

Age Relaxation For Posts of Group ‘C’

The exam board has also given certain relaxations to some people belonging from specific categories and are applying for various positions of Group ‘C’. The table below shows the age relaxations for Group ‘C’ posts.

Physical Standards

Candidates are also required to check the physical and medical standards as per the SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria. The physical and medical standards for some of the posts are also announced by the authorities in the official notification. There are different physical standards for both males and females.
