गोले के महत्वपूर्ण सूत्र:

  • आयतन (Volume): 4/3 πr³
  • पृष्ठीय क्षेत्रफल (Surface Area): 4πr²
  • व्यास (Diameter): 2r

sphere In English

A sphere is a three-dimensional round object, like a ball. In geometry, it’s defined as the collection of all points that are the same distance away from a specific point in the center, called the center of the sphere. That distance is known as the sphere’s radius.

Radius: The distance between surface and center of the sphere is called its radius.

Diameter: The distance from one point to another point on the surface of the sphere, passing through the center, is called its diameter.

Surface area: The region occupied by the surface of the sphere is called it’s surface area.

Volume: The amount of space occupied by any spherical object is called its volume.

Sphere Formulas

  • Surface Area = 4πr²
  • Volume = (4/3)πr³
  • Diameter = 2r

Properties of Sphere:
A sphere is perfectly symmetrical.
It is not a polyhedron.
All points on the surface are the same distance “r” from the center.
It has no side or corner.
It has constant mean curvature.
It has a constant width and circumference.
The sphere has just one curved face.
It does not have any vertices or edges.

Difference Between a Sphere and a Circle

Circle :
A circle is a two-dimensional shape.
It does not have any volume.
It only extends in two directions: the x-axis and the y-axis.
It has one flat face.
The area of a circle is πr²square units.

Sphere :
A sphere has a three-dimensional shape.
It occupies space means it has volume.
It extends in 3D. Which are the x-axis, y-axis, and z-axis.
It has one curved surface.
The surface area of a sphere is 4πr²square units.
