Summary of the Chapter
The story is set in the Vijayanagara Empire during the rule of Krishnadeva Raya, a wise and powerful king known for his love of art and literature.
Tenali Ramakrishna, one of the Ashtadiggajas, was famous for his wit and wisdom.
A misunderstanding between the king and his queen, Thirumalambal, caused silence and tension in the palace.
Tenali Rama cleverly used a humorous example of “yawning while sowing seeds” to make the king realise that yawning is natural and not disrespectful.
The story ends with the king realising his mistake, apologising to the queen, and peace being restored.
