Therefore, the poet advises us to make ourselves and our homes strong so that the wind cannot harm us. If we are strong, the wind will become our friend. The poet also says that the wind blows out weak fires but helps strong fires to grow and burn brightly. In the same way, difficulties (like wind) destroy weak people but make strong people stronger. कविता “Wind” कवि सुब्रमणिया भारती द्वारा लिखी गई है और ए.के. रामानुजन ने इसका अनुवाद किया है। इस कविता में कवि हवा से बात करता है और उससे विनती करता है कि वह धीरे-धीरे आए। हवा बहुत तेज़ चलती है और बहुत नुकसान करती है — वह खिड़कियों के दरवाजे तोड़ देती है, कागज़ बिखेर देती है और किताबें गिरा देती है। कवि कहता है कि हवा कमजोर चीज़ों का मज़ाक उड़ाती है — कमजोर घर, कमजोर दरवाजे, कमजोर शरीर और कमजोर दिल सबको तोड़ देती है। इसलिए कवि हमें सलाह देता है कि हमें अपने घरों और अपने शरीर को मजबूत बनाना चाहिए ताकि हवा हमें नुकसान न पहुँचा सके। अगर हम मजबूत होंगे तो हवा हमारी दोस्त बन जाएगी। कवि कहता है कि हवा कमजोर आग को बुझा देती है, लेकिन मजबूत आग को और तेज़ जलने में मदद करती है। इसी तरह, जीवन की कठिनाइयाँ कमजोर लोगों को तोड़ देती हैं, लेकिन मजबूत लोगों को और मजबूत बनाती हैं। अंत में कवि हवा की शक्ति की प्रशंसा करता है।
