Family and Community

Question 1. What are some of the rules you follow in your family and neighbourhood? Why are they important?

Answer: In my family, we have rules like respecting elders, helping with household chores, and sharing responsibilities. In the neighbourhood, we follow rules like keeping the area clean and helping each other during emergencies. These rules are important because they ensure harmony, cooperation, and a supportive environment for everyone.

Question 2. Do you think some rules are unfair to a few people in the family or community? Why?

Answer: Yes, sometimes rules can be unfair. For example, in some families, only women are expected to do all the household chores, which can be unfair as it places a heavier burden on them. In the community, rules that favor certain groups over others can create inequality and resentment.

Question 3. Describe several situations that you have observed where community support makes a difference. You can draw or write about these.

Answer: One situation where community support made a difference was during a natural disaster, where neighbors came together to provide food and shelter to those affected. Another instance is when a family in our community faced financial difficulties, and everyone contributed to help them through the tough time. Lastly, during festivals, the community collectively organizes events, creating a sense of togetherness and joy.
