About Us
Over the past 55 years, Centennial College has transformed itself from a local community college to a worldly institution, with a presence in countries such as China, India, South Korea and Brazil.
Our focus has always been on preparing graduates to enter the workforce while teaching our students to be leaders. We’ve worked hard to build lasting partnerships with local communities while preparing our graduates to succeed globally – work we are confident has led to our #1 ranking in the Greater Toronto Area for graduate satisfaction.
Locally, we continue to offer industry-recognized full- and part-time programs at five Toronto campuses. Whether in our classrooms, our labs or the community, Centennial students experience the real world before they even graduate. They’re job-ready, and that’s a fact employers have told us, as more than 88 percent of those who have employed Centennial grads are satisfied or very satisfied with their hires.
As a leader in internationalization, we’ve done extensive work teaching international students. At the same time, we are enabling more Canadian learners to have an international adventure, be it completing a semester in Spain, an internship in South Africa or a Global Citizenship learning experience in the Amazon Basin.
We believe a Centennial education is an education without borders. We’ve re-created our College, giving ourselves a unique position in the marketplace and the world. We are now prepared for the next set of challenges: To be more innovative and entrepreneurial, to further exploit the benefits of technology, to creatively engage our employees, to build more bridges with communities and employers, and to see our graduates do meaningful work and have meaningful lives.

College Orientation Sessions
I’m nervous about starting at Centennial College. Is there anything I can do to prepare?
It’s perfectly normal to feel anxious when starting postsecondary education. That’s why Centennial College introduced the headSTART program. headSTART is a pre-arrival program that runs for 16 weeks before you start school, designed to help you prepare for your first weeks at Centennial. The content is broken down into three sections: personal, which focuses on logistical matters; academic, which helps you better understand what to expect of your classroom experience; and professional, which provides information and resources about working while in school and finding a job when you graduate. Students are automatically included into headSTART before their first semester, so make sure to check your e-mail for our newsletter!
If you have any questions or can’t access headSTART please contact us at SCE@centennialcollege.ca.
What is Orientation?
Orientation is a celebration for the start of your Centennial College journey and a way for you to feel confident and prepared both personally and academically. Orientation is broken down into three components; a College Welcome where your hosts will offer advice on making the most out of your College journey, an Academic Meet and Greet where you can connect with your faculty and classmates, and a Service Fair where you can learn first-hand about all of the supports and services Centennial has to offer. Don’t forget to collect your swag bag and fill it with all the important information you will learn.
When is Orientation?
Orientation takes place the week before classes start every semester. All new students will receive an invitation letting them know when and where to go during their orientation week. Can’t make it to your home campus orientation in-person? Don’t worry, you can check out a live-stream on orientation day, or watch the recording in your headSTART portal. Want to plan your arrival to ensure you will be here for orientation, check out the schedule for up-to-date information.
How do I keep track of everything going on at the College?
We know that, as students, things are busy and it can seem impossible to find the time to get involved outside of class – Experience Centennial is here to help! We want to ensure that you have the opportunity to experience everything Centennial College has to offer. That’s why you should make sure to join the Experience Centennial MS Teams channel, the official student engagement platform that shows Centennial College students everything going on at the College.
