1. Nationality: Candidates must be a citizen of India.
2. Age Limit: Candidates’ age must be between 18 years and 23 years. Age relaxations will be extended as per govt rules.
3. Age Relaxation:
Age:- 18 -23 years.
(Relaxable upto 5 years in case of SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates).
Upper age up to 05 years is also relaxable for those persons who had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of J & K during the period from 1st Jan 1980 to 31st Dec 1989. The person claiming relaxation under this category should produce a certificate to the effect that they had been domiciled in the state of J&K during the period from 1st January 1980 to 31st December 1989 from the District Magistrate within whose jurisdiction they had ordinarily resided or from any other authority designated in this behalf by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir.
The upper age limit is also relaxable upto 35 years in the case of serving Followers of the CISF provided they have rendered minimum three years continuous service in Force. Upper age limit is also relaxable upto 40 years for SC/ST and 38 years for OBC candidates in such cases.
Upper Age limit upto 5 years is also relaxable further to the children and dependents of victims KILLED in the 1984 riots and communal riots of 2002 in Gujarat. SC/ST/OBC relaxation will be in addition as per Government instructions.
